What is Fields of Faith?
Fields of Faith is a student led event. Students invite, pray for, share with, and challenge their
peers to read the Bible and follow Jesus Christ. An athletic field provides a neutral, rally point
where a community can come together.

Interdenominational
The strength of this movement will be in the churches. Our message can be agreed upon by
most of the evangelical denominations. What is that message? We are Christ-centered and
Bible-based. The Bible is God’s Word and will guide you to a meaningful life if you follow it with
all your heart, soul and mind, and Jesus is the only way to God. If the rally is viewed as a one
denomination event, it will be severely limited. We want the rally to be neutral in its location
and program. There needs to be an attempt to promote the rally with all Christian churches.

This event is for the WHOLE community! The message of Fields of Faith is for EVERYONE! Please
come out and support our students!

It’s time to get in the game and get in the book!

RADICAL Sermon Discussion Group

RADICAL – Starting Friday, Sept. 29 6:30PM
What: Gather with us as we listen to sermons from Dr. David Platt on RightNow Media
and go through discussion questions with Dan and Olivia Kight. Following each sermon,
we will discuss what we heard and identify implications for what it looks like for modern
Christians to follow Christ.

Why: To collectively grow closer to Christ, increase our love for the poor, increase our
love for the lost, and put our faith into action.

Who: Anyone is welcome, though we want to especially encourage folks without
children to really consider joining us. These Bible studies will focus on fundamental
outreach aspects of being a Christian and our prayer for the group is that God
impresses on our hearts ways we can regularly help people in our community.

Where: Dennis and Anita’s house: 328 Terrace St. No childcare is provided.

When: We plan to launch Friday, Sept. 29 and will meet each Friday for eight weeks,
which will end the week before Thanksgiving. 6:30-8:30pm

“While American cultural Christianity tends to distort the Gospel and leads us to pursue
comfort, the Jesus of Scripture has a different message. In this series that helped
inspire David Platt’s book Radical, we see that following Christ is costly, for we must die
to ourselves. Our possessions and even our very lives belong to the One who has
called His church, not to chase worldly wealth, but to make disciples of all nations. In
the end, we’ll see that this kind of radical abandonment to God’s purposes is where we
find true life and satisfaction that lasts.” -Dr. David Platt
