Sunday Mornings
Come join us for worship at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday morning, beginning March 15th, at the Lakeview Christian Academy school in Duluth (directions). We have a time of prayer before our worship service and a lunch immediately following. Childcare is available for birth through 3rd grade during both the prayer time and worship service. Read on for more details.
At The Water's Edge we love to pray, worship God, and be together. Additionally, we want to free up as much time as possible during the week to make a difference in the lives of people outside our church. Therefore, we want to take full advantage of our Sunday mornings, a unique and special time when most people are off of work and able to gather together.
Our vision for Sunday mornings is that they would be inviting and joyous gatherings filled with opportunities for prayer, worship, and fellowship. THE EVENT OF THE WEEK!
Our Sunday mornings consist of three main elements...
- Corporate Prayer (8:30 to 9:30 a.m.)
- Worship Service (10:00 to 11:15 a.m.)
- Meal and Fellowship Time (following the service)
We don't expect everyone to come early for prayer nor to stay late for lunch, but we want everyone to know they are always welcome. Excellent childcare will be provided for birth through third graders during both the prayer and worship times. Fourth graders and up will participate with the adults. Refreshments will be available before and after the worship service so feel free to come a little early and stay a little late even if the prayer and meal times aren't for you. Finally, worshiping in a school has its advantages. The gym will be open after the service for both kids and kids at heart to play in.
Corporate Prayer - A dynamic time of praise, thanksgiving, and confession to God as well as intercession for the upcoming service and mission of the church.
Worship Service - The following things make our worship services unique...
- a mixture of music styles with an emphasis on God-centered singing
- a corporate time to share stories of God's work and ask for prayer
- God-centered preaching primarily book-by-book through the Bible
- an optional opportunity for additional musical worship and prayer at the end of the service
